About The Books

The 'Between The Verses' Series

The "New Earth" series had a specific time-frame in mind: The first Thousand Years of Paradise. This series has a very different purpose. People in Bible Times had a front seat view to some of the most Earth-shaking, unexpected moments in the pages of human history. The Bible record gives us the most amazing moments of their lives, even the words they said.

But the main characters in these books won't be found in the Bible. The point of the 'Between the Verses' series is not to retell Bible stories, but to follow the people who were witness to these events, but not directly involved. Each book will also include a modern day story told in tandem, using people that are my own invention.

 Book One: Written Beforehand

For thousands of years, God has revealed His purpose progressively. His servants have always known what would come next, for those who bothered to look.

Eleanor is a woman concerned for what might happen to the world, and struggles to believe that anyone can predict the future. When she is told that hundreds of prophecies have been proven accurate already, she's left with a choice about whether or not to believe in what is foretold to come next.

Nomi is a woman deeply afraid of her current circumstances, living in a lawless world. Noah is building an Ark outside her town, based on nothing but one or two promises, which nobody around her believes in.

Though they were born thousands of years apart, both Nomi and Eleanor are given the same invitation, and are left with the same choice: To put their faith in what was written beforehand, or remain with the world they know, but can't rely on.

 Book Two: In My Integrity

Lapis has paid a high price for telling the truth. Betrayed by everyone he knows, he finds a new purpose in the most unlikely of places. A young prisoner named Joseph, a slave from a foreign land, is about to change his life, and the future of his nation forever.

Ellis has saved himself by telling a lie. But the consequences are more than he expected, and his life is changed completely. As unexpected new friends reach out to him; he will have to decide if there's any point to living honestly. And if he does, what will he have to give up, for a principle that nobody seems to care about?

Thousands of years apart, both men will have to answer the same questions. The answers will be what they least expected.

Book Three: "The Whole Truth"

Julian is a lawyer, on the fast track to promotion. He’s got a great career, and a loving family, and doesn’t think anything will derail his life; until the world undergoes a terrifying upheaval, and a whole new kind of normal takes over.

Satau is an Acolyte, on the rise to become High Priest of Ptah, in the early days of Egypt. His nation is eternal, and nothing ever changes in the Kingdom. Not the traditions, not the Dynasty, not even the weather. Until one day, a man comes out of the wastelands with a ludicrous demand for the King. A man named Moses.

Both these men will have to answer important, deeply personal questions that they’ve never considered before, and face the possibility that the Truth might be something they never expected.

Book Four: "You Will Know"

"Egypt is Eternal", the Priests of Ptah and Thoth declare. The Empire, and the Dynasty is unchanging. Even the weather is constant. Egypt is an empire without disruption... Until one day, a man named Moses emerges from the Wilderness and delivers a message to the King: Set his nation of slaves free immediately, or face the anger of Jehovah God. Leahe has been a slave all her life, in a land full of Temples to the gods of her oppressors. When the Plagues strike Egypt, her life will change forever.

Nate and Ryder are brothers, in the not too distant future. They've chosen opposite sides of the most important decision that can ever be made, and both have to face the consequences, as the world turns against them both, in very different ways.

All of them will have to face opposition, violence, and fear. And all of he have only their hopes to see them through the most shocking challenges ever to face the world.

Book Five: "Walking To Paradise"

Book Five In The 'Between The Verses' Series
Book Three in the 'Exodus' Trilogy

Paige, Nate, and Alvin came through the darkest chapter in human history, and entered Paradise. The world is now safe, and inhabited with joyful followers of Jehovah God, who are seeing the promises of the Bible fulfilled at last.

Satau, Takarut, and Leahe left Egypt with the nation of Israel. Freed from slavery by the hand of God, they enter the wilderness, on the way to a new promised land of their own.

Though they live thousands of years apart, these two groups take similar journeys, following the same God as they all face the realities of a joyful future they've always been waiting for, but never experienced until now. Seeing the fulfilment of very different prophecies gave them all a strong faith, but meeting the unexpected brings its own challenges, as they build entirely new lives.
